Bishop Arthur J. Williams, Sr. was born in Montgomery, AL on November 24, 1946. Bishop Art and his family relocated to Pittsburgh, PA. He attended Gladstone HS where he met and married 1st Lady Darnella shortly after high school. Together they have one son and 2 daughters, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Bishop Art and Lady Darnella celebrated 50 years of marriage in 2015.
At the age of 8 Bishop Art was baptized at St John Baptist Church in the Hazelwood area of Pittsburgh where he grew up. However, he did not accept the Lord into his life until 1980 at the Greater Pittsburgh Christian Temple.
Immediately after accepting the Lord, he went to work in the ministry. Over the next 26 years he obtained his Associate’s Degree, as an Electrical Technician, served as the church janitor, the Usher Board President, the Pastor’s Aide President, the Men’s Department President, as a Church Elder and a Church Board Member. He also serves in the United Christian Fellowship Alliance as Men’s Department President and as the organization’s Chief Financial Officer.
He worked for many years at the "Greater Pittsburgh Airport" in the Operations Department and was the Union Steward for the Communications Specialists, Airline Services and Engineers. Bishop Art retired in 2008 and now serves full time as the proud Pastor of New Day Ministries of Pittsburgh, Inc.
Lady Darnella E. Williams also grew up in Hazelwood where she met her husband. After high School she attended cosmetology school to practice her chosen profession part-time while being a wife, mother and homemaker.
She surrendered her life to the Lord at an early age and years later brought her husband, Bishop Art to her church, Greater Pittsburgh Christian Temple, where he surrendered his life to the Lord. Her ministry of helps flourishes at New Day Ministries where she is the Women’s Group President, the Prayer Team Leader and the church interior decorator.
Minister Arleaster Royal, Sr. miraculous birth into the family of God was in 1969 at Aliquippa Deliverance Center followed his first amazing birth into life on August 15, 1954. Since his youth, Minister Royal has been a faithful servant of the Lord receiving his first Ministerial License at the Aliquippa Deliverance Center. He became a member of the Greater Pittsburgh Christian Temple in 1974. While at Christian Temple he met and married his longtime friend Lisa in 1982. Together they have two sons and two granddaughters.
His gentle spirit and genuineness are a trademark that all who come in contact with him can attest to. He now gives his whole-hearted willing service and support to New Day Ministries of Pittsburgh where he serves as the Associate Pastor, Church Board Vice-President while overseeing the Music, Outreach and Missionary Departments and is a member of the finance team all under the inspired leadership of

Elder Helen Roberts affectionately known as ‘Sister Helen’ was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. and is currently an ordained Elder, Minister, Board Secretary and Church Administrator. Elder Helen has served in ministry since 1973 when she surrendered her life to the Lord at the Greater Pittsburgh Christian Temple, where she was a faithful member for many years. She has worked in ministries from Children/Youth to Adult Christian Education.
She has been married to Armand Roberts (Brother Rob) for over 50 years, is the mother of one son, three daughters, the loving grandmother (Nana) of ten and great grandmother of one. She obtained her Sociology, Degree from Duquesne University, pursued a Master’s Degree in Education, University of Pittsburgh and a Master’s Degree, Adult Education, Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Elder Roberts’ life mission and passion is to see God’s people live up to their fullest potential. Her favorite scriptures are Proverbs 9:9 “Give instruction to a wise man and he will be yet wiser" and Hosea 4:6 "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge..."
Her genuine love for God’s people, her servant’s heart and her gift of consolation, encouragement and organization skills are assets that she unreservedly gives to the people of God and New Day Ministries of Pittsburgh, Inc. under the spirit-filled leadership of her Bishop, Arthur James Williams, Sr.
